Jim is a keen watersports enthusiast to say the least! Windsurfing is his main hobby (obsession?) and whenever the wind is up he'll be out in St Austell Bay. Other wind directions and tides take him further afield to some of Cornwall's many other excellent windsurfing locations. He's also an RYA qualified dinghy sailing and windsurfing instructor and regularly helps to get Fowey's juniors on the water at the Fowey Gallants Sailing Club. And when there's no wind or surf at all, then you may see him and his family ambling up and down the river Fowey in their 16' Canadian canoe (that's if the kids can be dragged away from the surf).

If any of the above take your fancy, then we are fortunate enough to be just a 5-minute drive from the Polkerris Beach Watersports Centre, an RYA Recognised Training Centre, where they can offer tuition and courses (all levels) in windsurfing, sailing or stand-up paddleboarding. Jim is always on hand to offer advice or to assist with organising excursions further afield, such as surfing on Cornwall's fantastic North Coast or taking in the amazing scenery on Bodmin Moor.
